Concert in occupied Famagusta will be given by Laura Fabian - Storm of reactions

The news that the famous Belgian singer Lara Fabian will sing in occupied Famagusta provokes a storm of reactions.

She was invited and accepted to sing on July 9 at the Ancient Theater of Salamis, which has been under occupation since August 1974 after the second phase of the Turkish invasion.

In addition, the concert is organized by the illegal regime of the pseudo-state, which is not recognized by the United Nations and no other country in the world, except Turkey.

According to various organizations in Cyprus, the concert is a serious lack of respect against the Cypriot people and is an indirect recognition of the "TRNC" as a legitimate political entity.

We have to inform the well-known singer that the concert she will give in the occupied territories is illegal, they say, while inviting the people to sign for the cancellation of this concert.

Our compatriot singer Eurydice, obviously annoyed that her Belgian colleague accepted the invitation to sing in occupied Famagusta, wrote on her personal account: “Let someone explain to Mrs. Fabian that Cyprus is under occupation. That by singing in the pseudo-state he supports the invaders-murderers by acknowledging it. And surely if she thinks that with her attitude or with her voice she will unite us, she is bitterly mistaken ".

In the past, there have been other attempts by the occupation regime to bring long-range artists to the occupied territories, such as Jennifer Lopez, but they did not succeed because the artists learned the story and eventually refused to go to the occupied territories.
