Konstantinos Ilias, the young man who gave life to our fellow human beings

21-year-old Konstantinos Elias from Limassol, is the patient whose death gave life to our fellow human beings, in Cyprus and abroad, as his vital organs were sent for transplants, on Holy Saturday.

The unfortunate young man had an accident about 10 days ago, when he fell from a height of four meters, resulting in serious head injuries. Since then, he was treated in the Intensive Care Unit of the Nicosia General Hospital.

Elias failed to win the battle and gave up his last breath on Good Friday, with his family showing greatness of soul, making the decision to give his organs (heart, liver, kidneys and lungs) to our fellow human beings who have them. need.

Specifically, his lungs, heart and liver were sent to Austria, Athens and Thessaloniki, while his kidneys will be donated to two kidney patients in Cyprus.
