We are going through Holy Week, which is so named because of the great events that take place within it, at very short intervals. During Holy Week, many events take place which, when understood by man, can change his life.

Starting the narrative of the passions, Father Basil stood in the story of Joseph of Pangalos, which we celebrate on Holy Monday morning (Sunday night). Joseph, although betrayed in the worst way by his brothers and went through great difficulties in his life, always had God in his mind and accepted every event as His will, while praising God who went through what he went through, because in the end God she was by his side until the end, proving that there is a reason for what is happening in our lives.

He then emphasized how important it is to understand that a sinful and prostitute woman repents, comes to God and becomes a Saint, while at the same time a disciple and Apostle of Christ betrays him in the worst way. He added: "We should never judge anyone because we do not know how things can change. A sinner and a liar may repent and become a saint, while someone like us, who is supposed to be good Christians, may lose our way and dive into sin. ”

On the way to the crucifixion, Christ received help to carry the cross. Father emphasizes: “As a son of God, he did not need anyone else. But as a human being, by showing his human side, he shows how important it is to have the help of our fellow human beings in our lives, to raise our cross and walk with them. ”

Characteristic are the words of Father Basilios about the crucifixion of Christ: “Look at what people are! Those who believed in him and called him God, in 4 days completely changed their behavior. How people's lives change, one day we say how good he is and the next day we crucify him. "

Through stories of the days such as that of the robber from the right hand of Christ on the cross, he explains to us the love of God, who until the last moment gives man the opportunity to repent and enter his kingdom. He explains to us that our religion does not believe in death but in the passage, since Christ "killed" death by returning from Hades.

During the discussion, he mentioned the three P's that we should always look out for in our lives: Philargyria, Philodoxia, Philodonia. He also stressed that before we rush to judge our lives, we must think, since as he says "They crucified Christ once, while we do it every day."

Finally, Father Basil emphasizes how important it is to attend the service of Easter Sunday, after Christ is Risen. "It simply came to our notice then. It is a great sin and betrayal to leave after Christ is Risen to run to eat a plate of soup. ”He reminds all of us that we are not allowed to partake unless we have first confessed.
