Twelve people were arrested in Karpasia

Information on 12 cases of Carpathian captives killed between 1976 and 1999 is available to the Office of the Presidential Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs.

Information that, among other things, indicates that settlers killed Greek Cypriot prisoners who were elderly and lived alone in order to appropriate their homes. The families of these murdered prisoners are requesting that the relevant file be declassified as "confidential" so that the names of the 12 prisoners trapped in the occupied territories are included in the list of the victims of the Turkish invasion.

On the issue, George Perdikis asked the Parliament to inform, calling on Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulidis to inform Parliament whether it intends to implement the request of the relatives of the murdered trapped.
