Quadruple murder in Ayia Napa: Video from security cameras was filed at the trial

A video containing specific appearances and movements of perpetrators and victims of the quadruple murder in Ayia Napa on June 23, 2016, was submitted yesterday by the Prosecution Authority, in the context of the ongoing trial in the Larnaca Criminal Court for the crime. The video was prepared by the crime investigation team and is based on scenes recorded by closed circuits of restaurants, shops, hotels and other establishments in Ayia Napa, Limassol and Nicosia, before, during and after the crime.

In his testimony, the police officer of the TAE Headquarters, Leonidas Gennadiou, stated that after instructions he received, he checked the closed monitoring circuits of the premises adjacent to the restaurant where the quadruple murder was committed and other premises or shops related to the case. . Surveillance circuits he examined included a hotel and bakery in Limassol, a cafeteria in Nicosia, a restaurant, a pub and a kiosk in Ayia Napa, depicting the movements of both the victims and some of the perpetrators.

During the screening of the video that followed, the cars of Fanos Kalopsidiotis, Ilias Hatziefthymiou and George Charalambous can be seen, which are parked near the cafe-restaurant, and the passengers get off them and head towards the restaurant, shortly before the murder. their. Also, patrons of a pub, kiosk and leather goods store near the restaurant where the murder took place are seen running and hiding as if to escape under tables, as soon as the shots started falling. In fact, in one scene, Elias Hadjiefthymiou and his wife and children can be seen walking on the sidewalk to the restaurant.

Also, in the closed surveillance circuits, the accused Charalambos Andreou is seen shopping twice a day from a bakery-kiosk in Limassol, which has two closed surveillance circuits with 32 cameras, and Sotira Neophytou is shopping for drinks the day after the murder. herself and Charalambos Andreou from a specific cafe in Nicosia.
