The reins of the Municipality of Lysis to Andreas Kaouris

The new Mayor of Lysis, Andreas Kaouris, and the new Municipal Council of the refugee Municipality, as it emerged from the Municipal Elections of December 2, 2017, took office on Monday, January 18, 2016.

The eight members of the new Municipal Solution Council in alphabetical order are:

Andreou Kyriakos (Kakos), Ioakeim Eleni, Kontovourkis Kyriakos, Kouis Kyriakos, Mamas Dimitris, Rousis Charalambos (Pampos), Tofia-Pampori Margarita and Tsalakou Georgia.

In a meeting at the temporary offices of the Municipality in Larnaca, the former Mayor Simos Pastos, informed his successor about current issues of the City Hall and at the same time accepted his request to hold regular meetings so that the Municipality can use his knowledge and experiences.

Andreas Kaouris in a short speech warmly thanked Simos Pastos for his wholehearted response to his call to continue to help, be interested and support our occupied Municipality.

Referring to the overall work and contribution of Simos Pastos, the new Mayor said that they are characterized by honesty, selflessness, collectivity and consensus, elements that should be a compass for the new Municipal Council.

The former Mayor, added Andreas Kaouris, with his ethos, decency, kindness of character and deep dedication to his duty and mission in the given difficult conditions of uprooting and refuge, left his own mark of man and Mayor in the history of our refugee Municipality.

In his short speech, Simos Pastos thanked the members of his Municipal Council for the creative, fruitful five-year cooperation he had with them and expressed his readiness to continue to offer all assistance to the Municipality, as an active citizen for the good of the Solution.

"I will always be by the side of Lysis and the people of Lysia", said Simos Pastos, characteristically with emotion.
