Russia has banned the "religious organization" of Jehovah's Witnesses because of its "extremist" activity, the Vedomosti newspaper reported on its website, citing a statement from the Russian Ministry of Justice.
The religious organization "Jehovah's Witnesses Management Center in Russia" has been included in the list of social and religious organizations whose activities are prohibited "because of their extremist activities."
Russia's Supreme Court is expected to make its final decision on the ban on April 5, the newspaper reported.
