Development projects of millions from the Church

The Church promotes development projects worth millions of euros, which, according to the Archbishop, will employ thousands of people.

In his statements in Paphos, the Chrysostom of Cyprus expressed the appreciation that the Government will do everything to have growth, to move the market and to bring a smile back to everyone's faces.

The Church, he said in his statements during his visit to the General Hospital of Paphos, is close to the Cypriot people, adding that whatever help he wants and can, he will provide. People, he noted, "have nerve, and courage and how they know how to live with waste, but also with the few".

The Archbishop expressed optimism that with hard work "we will get over it", noting that the Archbishop has prepared some plans and will proceed with the development very soon. Several projects will give jobs to thousands of workers - scientists, he said, while expressing the certainty that the Anastasiadis Government will do the same and that "despite the difficulties, better days will rise".

Referring to the investments of the Church, he said that in Paphos a large hotel will be built on the property of the Archdiocese for which around 60 to 70 million euros will be spent. He also said that an agreement has been reached for a solar thermal park outside Nicosia, for 75 megawatts, an investment of over 100 million euros.

In the area of Makedonitissa, the Archdiocese will create an English-language school, while in contact with the Church of Cyprus with Russians and Israelis, the construction of a power plant of about 75 megawatts is underway, for which several millions will be spent.

According to the Archbishop, the Church of Cyprus will proceed with other projects in cooperation with Cypriot traders and with funds that will come from abroad.

Commenting on President Anastasiadis' visit to Israel, he said that Cyprus needs Israel and Israel needs Cyprus. A good cooperation, he continued, will be for the benefit of both countries, adding that "solid foundations have been laid, cooperation is a given, and everything will develop as best as possible."
During his visit to Paphos Hospital, the Archbishop distributed wishes and gifts to the patients and wished them a speedy recovery.

He also mentioned that the Paphos Hospital is beautiful and concentrated, adding that it does not have the vast area of the Nicosia Hospital.

Once again, he continued, "we found the cleanliness of the area but also the interest of the staff of both the medical and nursing world who are close to our patients." He wished all the best to everyone, the hospital, the doctors, the nurses and the patients.
