Jerome "stopped" Christ Resurrected to sing the National Anthem

On the night of the Resurrection, Archbishop Ieronymos made a highly symbolic move, as he paused for a moment the chanting of "Christ is Risen" to sing the National Anthem together with the faithful and the procession.

The specific move of the Archbishop is something that happens for the first time as in the past he continued the Divine Liturgy normally while the National Anthem was heard as a "background" from the respective procession that is present in the Diocese of Athens.

Many interpreted his move as an act of support for the two Greek soldiers, who have been held in Edirne prisons since March 1, after being arrested by the Turks in Evros.
