Tempi: They corrected with a blank the time of departure of stationmasters after the accident

New questions arise from the apology of the 59-year-old station master who claimed that after the collision of the trains, the time of delivery of the afternoon shift and pick-up of the evening shift was corrected with a blank.

On the specific page that mentions the shifts, according to the Free Press, the previous station masters K.P. and BC signed the handover of the station to their colleague B.S. who has already been remanded in custody on serious charges.

Their arrival at the station is reported to have taken place at 14.00:22.30 p.m., which was set by the shift book for them to get to work. However, the departure time seems to have been at 22.30:XNUMX p.m. It also becomes apparent that this time has been corrected with a blank, since something else was written there earlier and the new time - XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. - has even been underlined with a bold line.

“I don't remember the actual time we signed that I received. This particular book is always open in the station master's office, placed on a shelf, and I found after the incident that the time was correct. The actual departure time of P. is around 22:20 and of X around 22:10. I assume the objective responsibility that burdens me as a station master".

At another point he said: "I didn't have time to inform my supervisor or the inspection that the old station master had left at 22:15 to 22:20 and the younger one at 22:05 to 22:10 because of my workload. As I found out from my supervisor's testimony, he had instructed the two stationmasters of the afternoon shift to sit down until 23:00 p.m., while the central stationmaster of Larissa, George Zentros, instructed the oldest stationmaster to sit down until the train had passed. 62", the 59-year-old station master reportedly said in his apology.
