Telephone communication between Mitsotakis and PtD regarding the meeting in Athens

The President of the Republic had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis in preparation for his upcoming visit to Athens next week, Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letympiotis said on Friday.

In his statements to journalists at the Presidential Palace, Mr. Letympiotis said that the President, Nikos Christodoulidis, had a telephone conversation with Mr. Mitsotakis today in preparation for his upcoming visit to Athens on March 13 and 14.

President Christodoulidis said in an interview with ERT on Thursday evening that he would discuss, during his meeting with Mr. Mitsotakis, the issue of the EU's involvement in the effort to resolve the Cyprus issue, noting that it is not just a symbolic visit, but it will also have substantial content.
