Hagia Sophia: In a miserable condition almost a year after its conversion into a mosque (PICTURES)

Turkish citizens complain on social media about the bad situation in which Hagia Sophia has found itself, a year after it opened in a mosque.

It is noted that the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan himself had paid his first symbolic visit to the Hagia Sophia, in mid-July - approximately - last year.

During that brief visit, Erdogan monitored work inside the building, as reported by the Turkish presidency. "The conversion of Hagia Sophia into a mosque ended the waiting of our nation," the Turkish president had also said.

However, this decision by Recep Tayyip Erdogan to make the Hagia Sophia a mosque had caused worldwide outcry.
