Doom prevailed on an EasyJet flight to Edinburgh when a mask-denying passenger started cursing the other passengers and coughing at them, screaming that "we will all die".
The woman was forced by the crew to leave the aircraft. The incident, according to the manager of Belfast International Airport, took place at 4:30 on Sunday afternoon. Police spoke of a "disturbing passenger".
The crew asked the woman to wear a mask, as provided by the instructions transmitted by the loudspeakers.
A video posted by other passengers of the flight shows the woman shouting "We will all die, you know that! We will all die, the third. Either from the coronavirus or something else. We're all gonna die".
The flight attendants forced her to get up and disembark from the plane, while the woman walked the runway, coughing deliberately at the passengers.
Immediately after her disembarkation, she was arrested and an investigation is underway.
