Ten people have been killed and 73 others injured after a train full of passengers was diverted to northwestern Turkey, according to Turkish media.
The train, carrying more than 360 people, was traveling from Kapikule on the Bulgarian border to Istanbul when six of its carriages derailed in the Tekirdag area.
More than 100 ambulances have been dispatched to the scene, TRT Haber reported.
The Turkish military says helicopters have been sent to the scene.
"There are a lot of injured and we have deaths," Tekirdag Governor Mehmet Ceylan told NTV.
The surrounding area was reportedly muddy due to recent rains.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was informed of the accident and expressed his condolences to those who lost their lives, the state-run Anadolu news agency reported.
