He did not manage to legalize cannabis and the shops were left with goods

Queues in stores

It did not take long for 24 hours from the legalization of cannabis in Canada and many shops "ran out" of goods.

Canada became the second country in the world, after Uruguay, to legalize the possession and use of marijuana for entertainment.

The national cannabis market opened Wednesday night amid questions about health, law and public safety.

However, this did not stop many Canadians from making endless queues outside the shops where cannabis was for sale.

"The news for me is very bad, I opened the store at 12 midnight and by 4:20 I had already run out of cannabis, believe it or not," one of the legal cannabis sellers told CBC News, stressing that he could not nothing to predict the huge impact of this drug on citizens.

"I am a little shocked that I ran out so quickly, but also very upset that I do not have a product for everyone. I have disappointed many people. They had assured me that if I paid for the product from the beginning I would have it available for sale ".

And this particular seller was not the only one who had not predicted the huge success of cannabis, as many stores announced at their door that they "ran out of cannabis" within a few hours.

Uruguay was the first country to legalize the use of marijuana for entertainment, although Portugal and the Netherlands have also decriminalized it.

Provinces and municipalities in Canada have been preparing for months for the ban to end. It is noted that the local government is largely responsible for the details regarding the purchase, sale and use of cannabis within the jurisdiction of provinces, municipalities, etc. This results in a "mosaic" of regulations across the country.
