A member of the border guard service who was checking the cameras saw the incident and informed his colleagues.
"On Tuesday night, a Santa Teresa agent in charge of the cameras saw a trafficker throw two young children from a 14-foot (about 4-meter) border wall," the CBP said in a statement. The girls were taken to a CBP station in Santa Teresa, New Mexico for a medical examination and then taken to a hospital for preventive reasons.
"I am shocked by the inhumane way in which these traffickers threw innocent children from a wall last night," said Patrol chief Gloria I. Chavez in a statement. Chavez said US border guards were working with Mexican authorities to locate the perpetrators.
