She made cookies from her grandmother's ash and distributed them to her classmates

Police are investigating the unusual incident

California police are facing a particularly unusual incident as they investigate reports that a schoolgirl made cookies with her grandmother's ashes.

The young woman handed out the cookies to her classmates, who were unaware of their contents. Authorities were notified by students at the school, but the cookies have not yet been tested. Da Vinci High School declined to comment on the attack, but said it had regretted it.

The student allegedly served the cookies with her grandmother's ashes to 9 of her classmates, but it is not clear how many young people are involved in their distribution. According to one student, the girl told them that the cookies she had given them two weeks ago contained her grandmother's ashes.
