Nine months after their rape, they are preparing to give birth

Hundreds of Rohingya Muslim women living in refugee camps in Bangladesh are preparing to give life to their raped babies.

According to CNN, members of humanitarian organizations provide support to more than 2700 victims of sexual violence in the camps. Women and children of this tribe were raped during their flight from Myanmar last year.

The Myanmar military denies killing, raping or torturing Rohingya civilians and even released a report last November.

In April and May, photographer Brian Sokol interviewed 10 girls and women living in these camps, whose names were changed for security purposes.

15-year-old Rahenah was preparing dinner at her house. Soldiers from Myanmar arrive and set fire to her house.

"We ran through the back door. My brother died in the fire. Some managed to escape, some did not. The girls did not make it. We were tied to a tree. They tied our mouths and raped us. Some girls lost consciousness. One of them and me. "I was bleeding," he said with tears in his eyes. Today she is pregnant.

Maryam is only 16 years old today.

"The soldiers took us to another building together with two other girls. I was raped by three soldiers. The other girl was killed. I do not know if I am lucky or not. I'm worried about becoming a mother. I do not have my own mother. "She was also killed," he said.
