France: One dead and seven injured by severe weather (VIDEO & PHOTO)

One dead, seven injured and 136.000 households without electricity is the cause of the severe storms that hit southwestern France last night.

Winds of up to 120 kilometers per hour and heavy rains hit 135 communities in the Dordogne region of southwestern France yesterday.

A man died tragically after being injured by a falling tree in a park in Obza.

The fall of trees also cut off traffic on various roads.

Parallel electric cables were cut from the power poles and 136.000 households were left without electricity.

Seven other people were injured as a result of the severe bad weather.

Many property damage was caused and several properties were flooded, while the hail, which seems to have been the size of a tennis ball, caused extensive damage to roofs and cars.
