VIDEO: The joy of a homeless boy when he faces his first room

An eight-year-old gets what he longs for most in life

At a time when most kids wanted an expensive Christmas gadget, an American girl just asked Santa for a bed.

A bed of his own, as he slept for years in homeless dormitories and shelters for the victims.

Eight-year-old Daeyrs from Detroit, Michigan has spent most of his short life on the road and at the mercy of social services when Dionna's mother lost her job and then their home.

Some time ago, a mother and son entered a state house, only the little one was sleeping on the floor again, laying some blankets on the floor, as there was no money for furniture.

Recently, however, the charity Humble Design made them a Christmas surprise (on December 20), furnishing their home. Which means that the little guy gets his own room for the first time in his life. And the coveted bed he dreamed of so much.

See the real joy of the little one and let us all appreciate what we have…
