Russia has turned the tap back on – Sending natural gas to Germany

Russia has started sending natural gas through its longest pipeline to Europe after ten days of maintenance work, according to Nord Stream AG.

Gas flow began today, a representative of the pipeline's operating company said, but restoration to requested levels will take some time. Gazprom PJSC declined to comment on the news.

Natural gas flow data for the Nord Stream 1 pipeline and for supplies from Russia to Germany was recorded at 29.284.591 kilowatt hours (kwh) per hour this morning (07:00-08:00 Cyprus time), against zero flow during the previous hours, as shown by the data from the website of the company that manages the pipeline.

Europe is closely monitoring the situation with the flow of Russian natural gas on the Nord Stream 1 pipeline, as work on the pipeline's annual maintenance is expected to be completed today, with European governments preparing for the possibility of further energy cuts.

The flow of natural gas through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline at the OPAL and NEL supply interconnection points in Germany was recorded at zero levels (zero kilowatt hours / per hour) for July 21 (06:00-07:00 Cyprus time) according to the data of the pipeline manager.
