USA: He took off his pants in flight - Faced with 20 years in prison

An Irish citizen who refused to wear a mask during a flight from Dublin to New York is likely to face up to 20 years in prison for assault.

He even, as it became known, showed his backside causing a disturbance in a Delta Airlines flight about ten days ago, something that became known now, when the 29-year-old appeared before a judge in New York and was charged.

In them, it is stated that "he deliberately attacked and intimidated a member of the crew", it is noted in the documents that were published only on Friday.

In particular, it is described that the 29-year-old refused several times to wear a mask, threw a can of soda and hit a passenger on the head, but then further "took off his pants and underwear and showed his butt to a flight attendant and some passengers."

The Irishman was traveling to Florida to get a job at a football academy. After landing, he was released on $ 20.000 bail and is now awaiting trial.

It is noted that for a year now the US Civil Aviation Authority has announced that it will have zero tolerance for those who do not comply with the mandatory use of a mask on flights.

In another incident, an American Airlines plane that had taken off from Miami to London a few days ago returned, although it had covered about 500 miles, due to a passenger refusing to wear a mask.
