We made progress, says Tsavousoglou after the meeting with Mike Pompeo

US-Turkish bilateral relations, security and stability in the Syrian city of Manbij and other regional issues were on the agenda of a meeting with US counterpart Mike Pompeo, according to the Turkish Foreign Minister.

Tsavousoglou from the stage of an event organized by the Turkish Heritage Organization, described the meeting that lasted about an hour and a half, as "very constructive. The progress of the technical committees set up to improve relations between Washington and Ankara was also discussed, with the Turkish Minister noting with satisfaction "significant progress". "I can say that it was a very constructive and successful meeting," he said.

Immediately after the meeting of the two Ministers, a meeting of the technical committees on issues of justice and other issues followed.

From the podium, Tsavousoglu later stated that the PKK, YPG and FETO are the two most important issues facing Turkey. He expressed hope that the allied country would stand by the United States on this issue.
