A moving story from Italy was shared on social media by Professor Elias Mosialos. The LSE professor, entitled "His stories Covid-19: "Guido and Maria", tells us the story of a couple who managed to "reunite" after countless weeks in quarantine:
"Mr. Guido Stangalini, a hundred years old, entered the nursing home shortly before the lockdown in Italy because of Covid-19. His wife, Maria Pagani, 93, was supposed to move with him a few days later, but due to the forced isolation of the structure, she was allowed to enter after 101 days. They had never divorced before, not even for a day in their 70 years of marriage.
101 days in which Guido prayed every morning to live to embrace her again soon, to live to see her again at least once more. And that's the moment they met. "
