The new British Prime Minister Liz Truss had a telephone conversation with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
"I became the first foreign leader to communicate with the newly elected Prime Minister (of Britain) Liz Truss," the Ukrainian president wrote in a post on Twitter. "I thanked the British people for the great military and financial assistance to Ukraine. It is important that Britain is ready to strengthen it further," added Zelensky.
The president of Ukraine spoke of a "common line" aimed at "increasing pressure" on Russia. "The goal is to end the attack and bring the culprits to justice," he underlined, adding that it is important to label Russia a "terrorist state".
Britain has supported Ukraine since the Russian invasion began on February 24. He sent military and financial aid to the besieged Ukrainian forces, who are currently fighting in the south and east of the country.
