Dusan Ivkovic dies - European basketball mourns

Ivkovic was a former Serbian professional basketball player and former coach with a great career.

The news of his death was announced by Serbian Basketball Federation.

Ivkovic was sitting on his bench Mars (1980-1982), of PAOK (1991-1993), of Panionios (1994-1996), of Olympiacos (1996-1999 and 2010-2012) and AEK (1999-2001), leading the "red and whites" twice to the top of Europe.

In 2008, when FIBA ​​Europe announced the honorary list of the 50 greatest personalities in the history of the European Championship (Euroleague), Ivkovic was included among the 10 greatest coaches in the history of the institution.

In 2017 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the International Basketball Federation and was honored with the "Euroleague Legend" award by the Men's Euroleague.

Being the only coach in history to have won all four major European titles, he was prominent personality among his colleagues.
