Russian President Vladimir Putin has accepted a proposal by Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan to visit Turkey, Turkish media reported, citing a Kremlin statement today.
The same sources state that the date of the visit will be determined according to the developments with the coronavirus.
Turkish media recall that in his interview last night, the Turkish President said that he had invited his Russian counterpart to Turkey and was waiting for his response.
In his interview, the Turkish President said "our country has supported the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine from the beginning. We have taken a clear stand from the beginning against Russia's steps against the integrity of Ukraine and in particular the annexation of Crimea. We have just invited Mr Putin to our country. "If the two leaders want it, we can bring them to our country and pave the way for a peaceful environment."
