Due to severe weather conditions
The passengers of the Turkish Airlines flight that operated on the route Istanbul - New York on Saturday saw the joy with their own eyes.
Shortly before landing, and while the flight was now taking place in US airspace, the plane began to have terrible turbulence due to severe weather.
A total of 29 passengers were injured in the riots, none of whom are in a life-threatening condition.
Most suffered bruises from the blows while one broke his leg. All the injured were taken to a New York hospital shortly after landing.
Some of the passengers remained in the hospital for additional monitoring, but their condition is not a cause for concern.
