Turkey's relations with Russia are not so weak that they could be severed by the French president, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoλουlu said today, following Emanuel Macron's statement that Ankara's support for missile strikes against Syria shows that it has "Separate its position" from Russia.
"We may think differently, but our relations with Russia are not so weak that the French president can sever them," Tsavousoglu told a joint news conference with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg in Ankara.
"Our relations with Russia are not an alternative to our relations with NATO or our allies, NATO, France and the United States," he said.
