Seventy-one community councils are exempted, by today's decision of the Council of Ministers, from the obligation to pay a contribution for the execution of small mature development projects.
The contribution concerns an amount of approximately 5,2 million euros that will come from savings of other funds of the Budget of the Ministry of Interior for 2021.
The Deputy Government Spokeswoman, Niovi Parisinou, stated after the Ministerial meeting, which met under the Presidency of the Republic, Annita Dimitriou, that “the Council of Ministers has decided to exempt 71 community councils from the obligation to pay a contribution for the execution of small which are not included in the Budget of 2021, among which projects whose continuation and completion are expected ".
He added that "the amount will amount to approximately 5,2 million euros and will come from savings of other funds in the Budget of the Ministry of Interior of 2021".
