The Recommendations of the Advisory Scientific Committee regarding the measures in view of the holidays were presented to the Council of Ministers today.
The suggestions were given yesterday to the Minister of Health, Michalis Hadjipandelas, during a meeting at the Ministry.
According to information, the suggestions that were "locked" in the Ministry are:
- Test on all employees on a weekly basis, except those who have taken a booster dose.
- Schools open on January 10 instead of Friday at 7. Students must submit a rapid 48-hour test
- Vaccinated children aged 12-17 should be able to enter specific areas for which vaccination is required, only with a rapid test as they are accompanied by a parent who has completed his vaccination regimen.
-The reduction of the validity of the disease certificate to three months was approved, however, this is a measure that will be implemented at a later stage.
It is worth noting that the public will be recommended for self-test before family reunions and for entering high-risk areas.
The number of people at home gatherings will remain the same, at 20 people.
The Minister of Health is expected to announce the new measures at 16:00 in the afternoon.
