The prices of meat for the Christmas table are increasing (VIDEO)

It is estimated that this year's Christmas table will be 20% to 30% more expensive and with fewer quantities, assured the president of the Butchers' Association Kostas Livadiotis on the show "Mesimeri kai Kati".

"The consumer is already buying more conservatively, because the prices this year are around one to two euros higher than last year. The price of the milk lamb is predicted to increase up to 15 euros and the turkey to around seven euros," he said indicatively.

Asked about it, he clarified that we will find good and fresh meat this year, as there will be imports from Greece, especially lambs, but in smaller quantities.

He also noted that imports of turkeys have decreased, saying that "this year we will import under 50.000 turkeys, whereas in the past it used to be over 100.000."
