The President of the Association of Personal Physicians, Andreas Polyneikis, spoke at noon and something about the cancellations of appointments for vaccination with the AstraZeneca preparation.
Initially, he stated that "we expect official instructions but it is very simple. Citizens under the age of 50 who do not want AstraZeneca will not do so and will look for other vaccines that are compatible with their will. "There are people over the age of 50 who are asking for the AstraZeneca vaccine to a very small degree, and with the recent development, this vaccine has started to 'go out', at least among the unvaccinated."
Asked if there are many cancellations, he replied that "definitely. I have a colleague who took me a while ago and said "I have the vaccines left, what should I do with them, since everyone canceled their appointments?". "It makes sense for people to be afraid of all this 'stir' that happened with AstraZeneca."
Dr. Polyneikis advised citizens who have been vaccinated with AstraZeneca and had no side effects, to proceed to the second dose because it is very unlikely to have any side effects.
