The Council of Ministers met this morning under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic, Speaker of the House of Representatives Mrs. Annitas Dimitriou. The following decisions were taken:

The Council of Ministers instituted the procedure that is still in force today in relation to the selection of the person who the Council of Ministers proposes to the President of the Republic for the position of Commissioner for Administration and Protection of Human Rights. The Council of Ministers decided to adopt a National Strategy for the Promotion of Financial Literacy and Financial Education in Cyprus. A committee will be set up to undertake the implementation of the National Strategy.

The Council of Ministers decided to appoint Mr. Eugenios Eugenios as President of the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency (CIPA) for the remainder of the four-year term to replace Mr. Giannis Matsis, who recently resigned.

The Council of Ministers authorized the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth to dismiss the teachers / athletes of the Cyprus National Paralympic Committee from their teaching duties in order to use them in activities of informing students / teachers and teachers about disability and paralysis. sports.
