Annita Dimitriou: I never imagined I would be in this position (vid)

The Speaker of the Parliament, Annita Dimitriou, was hosted on the Protoselido show. 

Initially, she said that she is "pleased with last parliamentary year, since there were not a few issues they had to manage".

Asked how she feels when she goes to replace the president of the Republic, she answered that "at first it was not easy, more so when it comes to responsibility, that is, you serve the supreme institution of the state and you have to be ready in case something happens. I thank the world for the opportunity given to me and of course those who supported me. I never imagined I would be in this position, nor did I seek to be in this position. But since it's been given to me, I'm doing my best to cope as effectively as possible."

In relation to the gifts to the MPs, he stated that "there is a legislative regulation following Greco's recommendations, which provides for a form to be filled out every year and under his own responsibility he should record anything that exceeds the value of 150 euros and declare the reason he received it".
