However, the roads leading to Troodos, as well as other roads in the mountainous areas of Limassol and Morphou, are open, however, only for vehicles with four-wheel drive or equipped with anti-skid chains, around 10.00 am on Friday.

The roads Platres-Troodos, Karvouna-Troodos and Prodromou-Troodos, which in the morning remained closed to all vehicles, with the improvement of the weather conditions, have now been given to the traffic, however only for vehicles with four-wheel drive or equipped with non-slippery chains.

Pedoula-Prodromou, Pedoula-Pine Wood-Kakopetria and Papoutsas-Agios Theodoros roads remain open only for vehicles with four-wheel drive or equipped with anti-skid chains.
Police recommend special attention to those who travel on the road network of mountainous areas, while drivers are called to move at a safe, low speed, to maintain a safe distance from oncoming vehicles, and to give priority to other passing drivers where necessary.
