As part of its efforts to better serve HIV-positive citizens, the Ministry of Health informs that HIV-positive individuals can be released earlier than 10 days, provided that they have secured a rapid rapid antigen test (Rapid test) by default. points indicated by the Ministry of Health and provided that they do not show active symptoms.
It is emphasized that the release of virus positive individuals occurs on the same day of the test. Specifically, after receiving the result of the examination via message, the release message is sent and the citizens after 30 minutes can issue the European Certificate of Disease through the portal https://www.eudcc.gov.cy/
It is reminded that:
• Those who are positive for the virus will be informed on the 6th day of self-limitation via text message, about the predetermined point and the time they should arrive for the Rapid test on the 7th - 10th day.
• The laboratory diagnosis date of the case is considered as day zero (the measurement starts from the next day).
• Only laboratory tests performed at the predetermined points of the Ministry of Health are recognized as valid for release purposes before the 10th day. (Those who do not follow the above procedure will be able to be released automatically based on the procedure valid on the 10th day).
• During the release examination, the same identification information that was declared when registering on the platform should be stated as positive events (identification document, date of birth and telephone number) to avoid technical problems and delays in the release.
• If the result is positive, the person has the opportunity to repeat the examination process on the 8th, 9th and 10th day, rushing to the same point indicated by the Ministry of Health on the 6th day, or to be limited to the 10th day where is released without further examination on the 11th day.
It is emphasized that the measures of social distancing and protection (double surgical mask, or protective mask type ΚΝ95 or FFP2) must be observed at the site of the examination.
