The inspections in the workplaces for the possession of a certificate of vaccination or disease or a negative laboratory examination begin today, in the framework of the measures decided by the Council of Ministers on December 21, 2021, to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
In particular, from 22 December 2021, all workers who have completed their vaccination program against COVID-19 or hold a certificate of illness (duration 180 days) are required to submit a negative laboratory test PCR or rapid antigen test with a duration of 7 days to enter their workplace. Employees who received the booster / 3rd dose of vaccine are excluded. According to a clarification from the Ministry of Health, the checks for this measure will start from December 29 and, therefore, the employees will have 7 days to go for PCR or rapid test.
The Council of Ministers at its meeting also decided to extend all other provisions of the Decree in force until January 15, 2022.
It was also decided to reopen the schools after the Christmas break on January 10th. Upon return, all students, teachers and other staff should present with a 72-hour negative PCR laboratory test or a 48-hour rapid antigen detection test.
