Averoff in Government: Vaccinated should not suffer other consequences

Written statement by the President Mr. Averof Neophytou

At this time, citizens, organized bodies and the government are making a huge effort to keep our country open and secure. For tourism, trade, catering, culture, services. It is obvious that there is neither the physical nor the financial margins for regression. For this:

We call on the government to intensify its significant efforts to make Cyprus a safe destination in the target countries for tourism. We call on it to continue to strengthen public health infrastructure and to support the very good work that has been done so far.

At the same time, we believe that it must recognize and reward with specific policies the citizens who do their duty, who constitute the vast majority. To ensure that fully vaccinated, not only will not suffer other consequences but will restore as much of their normalcy as possible, both outside and inside the country.

On the other hand, I call on those who have not been vaccinated to date to do so immediately. All vaccines are fully available. They have proven their safety and effectiveness, even in the new mutation that threatens us.

Let us not risk the progress we have made, the sacrifices we have made, let us not create new obstacles to the health and economy of the place. And let us not forget: the vaccinated are protected, the unvaccinated are at risk.

Get vaccinated, get the European digital certificate and save your life back.
