A 54-year-old man is wanted by the Paphos Police for an investigation into the theft of €200 from the bag of a teacher of the XNUMXst High School Makarios III of Paphos, during school hours.
According to the complainant, a Counseling Education teacher, around 12:40 and while she was on the school grounds, she entered her office where she met an unknown person, who was holding and searching her bag. According to a complaint made to the Police, when she asked him who he was and what he was doing in her office, he answered "I'm not doing anything" and tried to escape after grabbing €200 from her purse. In her attempt to stop him, she did not succeed and called for help colleagues and the security guard of a private company that works at the school.
According to the press representative of ADE Paphos, Michalis Nikolaou, the unknown man continued to move normally towards the exit, despite the unsuccessful attempt of several people to stop him, with the result that he reached his car which was in the parking lot, entered it and moved away.
Based on the vehicle's registration numbers, the owner is said to be a 54-year-old man from Larnaca, who is also said to fully match the description given to the police by the complainant. An arrest warrant has been issued against him and he is wanted.
