Burlotto in apartments from short circuits

Two fires broke out in different places on Sunday night and in the early hours of Thursday. According to the information from the Fire Department, the first fire broke out around 20.00:5 on Sunday night in an apartment on the XNUMXth floor of an eight-story apartment building in Nicosia.

Members of the Police and Fire Service from Pafos Gate Fire Station responded with two Fire Engines. The fire, which was in a clothes dryer in the kitchen of the apartment, was extinguished by the owner using a fire extinguisher before the arrival of the Fire Service. On behalf of the Fire Department, an inspection and ventilation was carried out.

The owner of the apartment, in his attempt to extinguish the fire, inhaled smoke and had to be transferred to the T.A.E.P. of the Nicosia hospital by ambulance. The fire and heat caused extensive damage to the dryer and part of the apartment's kitchen counter. After an investigation into the causes of the fire, which was carried out in cooperation with the competent authorities, the fire appears to be due to an electrical problem/short circuit.

Shortly before 6 a.m. on Monday, the Fire Department received a call about a fire in an apartment on the 2nd floor of a four-story apartment building in the Strovolos area of ​​Nicosia. Members of the Police and Fire Service from the Acropolis Fire Station Sergeant Spyros Ttantis responded with two Fire Engines and the fire was brought under control at 06:14.

The fire was in the kitchen of the apartment and was extinguished by members of the Fire Service. The occupants of the apartments were evacuated and all floors were searched for any trapped people. From the fire and the heat, the kitchen of the apartment in question and its equipment suffered extensive damage.

After an investigation into the causes of the fire, which was carried out in collaboration with the Police and the Electromechanical Service, the fire appears to have been caused by a short circuit in an electrical device.
