A 29-year-old resident of Larnaca, who was arrested in the context of an investigation into a case of forgery, circulating a forged document and attempting to secure money by false pretenses, allegedly admitted to a total of eight cases of burglary and theft.
The 29-year-old was arrested shortly after midnight today, during a coordinated operation carried out by members of the Larnaca TAE, pursuant to a judicial arrest warrant issued against him for an investigation into the theft of a checkbook from a property in Larnaca, last February.
In the suspect's possession, a folding knife, a pair of gloves and a mask were located and seized as evidence.
When interrogated, the 29-year-old allegedly admitted to committing eight more cases of house/building burglaries and thefts, committed in Larnaca between the dates 01/01/2024-28/02/2024.
