Christou on immigration: Unfortunately we were vindicated... an invasion is taking place (vid)

The president of ELAM, Christos Christou, spoke on the front page about the presidential elections.

Initially, in relation to the low percentages in the polls, he said that "they have again presented our candidacy low but we believe in the space, which we will travel to get to the election day, we will manage to convince the people of the policies that we represent and we want to implement. Right now society thinks the battle is between three candidates. But they come from the same place and have served the same government for the last nine years. Thus, in the elections, the policies implemented until now will be confronted with something completely different, which has clear positions and opinions".

Regarding immigration, he said that "unfortunately today we were vindicated. That is why we have proposed a specific immigration policy. An invasion is taking place. These people are being used by Ankara for their own purposes." He also claimed that they "strain our economy, tens of millions are spent every year on the benefits and maintenance of asylum seekers".

When asked if he will take the nomination to the end, he said that "I will represent the faction to the end. This fight will be vindicated."
