They broke into the chapel of Prophet Elias in Tremithousa and stole icons

Unknown people broke into the chapel of the prophet Elias in Tremithousa and took four icons.

According to the Police, the perpetrators did not find any money in the church, since based on the instructions of the Holy Metropolis of Paphos, the church committees make sure not to leave the faithful's contributions in the pews of remote churches.

However, the perpetrators took four icons from the chapel and the Ecclesiastical Committee of the Temple appeals for their return.

Members of the Paphos Police Department went to the scene and collected various evidence in order to identify the perpetrators.
