At noon and something was hosted the member of the epidemiological team of the Ministry of Health Dr. Dorothea Pana, who spoke about the epidemiological picture of the country.
He initially said that as an epidemiological team they pointed out from the beginning of the pandemic that good ventilation of the space plays a role in reducing infections.
He added that it is a very difficult period, as "we have many months of difficulties and pressure on our backs. It is characterized as a pandemic of institutions and value ".
He stressed that this is why they tried to delay the very strict measures. "In the last few days we have seen some light, as the efforts of the citizens are bearing fruit and we are waiting for the reduction of the positiveness of the tests in the community so that the Hospitals can also breathe."
He explained that at the end of the month they will sit at the table and think about the targeted restart. "This will mean compliance with the measures and very good control."
He then spoke about the Hospitals, stressing that the results will be seen in two to three weeks. "We see the first light and the efforts of the citizens bear fruit."
He clarified that the Ministry of Health is discussing the restart plan. "We did the same in the first wave of the pandemic with the general context being the same with necessary adjustments."
Speaking about the schools, he said that it is a place that shows mobility, while the new strain of the coronavirus creates problems, as the children are largely asymptomatic.
He clarified that the detection of the virus in food does not mean that it is alive or in a phase that can cause infection. "There may be a dead virus on a surface, but that does not mean it is alive."
Finally, he stated that the person who is vaccinated is protected from getting sick. "People who are vaccinated may be able to transmit the virus to others and should wear a mask and take precautions."
