The Ministry of Health announces that today, February 2 2022:
- 2 deaths from the disease were reported COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths to 736.
- 235 patients COVID-19 of which 67 are in serious condition. 74,9% of patients do not have a history of vaccination.
- 20 post-COVID patients who have ceased to be infectious (declassified cases), continue to be hospitalized in intubated condition due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.
- A total of 100,762 disease detection tests have been performed by the molecular method (PCR) and the antigen rapid detection method (antigen rapid test).
- 3,083 (positivity rate: 3,06%) new cases of the disease COVID-19 detected by molecular tests (PCR) and antigen rapid test (antigen rapid test), raising the total number of cases in 262,867.

A. Deaths from the disease COVID-19:
The 2 deaths reported with the ultimate cause of death attributed to the disease COVID-19, relate to:
- A 74-year-old man, who ended up on February 1 in the Intensive Care Unit of the Nicosia General Hospital.
- A 74-year-old man who died on February 2 at the Limassol General Hospital.
Therefore, the total number of deaths with the ultimate cause of the disease COVID-19 amounts to 736, of which:
460 men (62,5%), and
- 276 women (37,5%).
The average age of those who die from the disease is 76,3 years.
B. Patients:
In total, 235 patients of the disease are treated in the hospitals of OKYPY COVID-19, of which 67 in serious condition or in MAF conditions.
Of the 67 patients in serious condition, 28 are intubated, 6 are admitted to an intravenous intensive care unit and 33 to an intensive care unit.

C. Positive incidents Covid-19 (PCR test and rapid antigen test):
