A 21-year-old man was arrested by members of the Police after locating a quantity of cannabis weighing 230 grams in his residence. The 21-year-old suspect was taken into custody for the purpose of investigating a drug possession case with the aim of supplying it to another person.
Specifically, around 11.30 yesterday at noon, members of the Anti-Drug Service - YKAN, with a court warrant, conducted a search at the residence of the 21-year-old, in Limassol, after information that he was involved in drug trafficking.
During the investigation, nine packages were found in the suspect's residence, containing green dry hemp plant material, with a total gross weight of approximately 230 grams, a precision scale with traces of green dry hemp plant matter, and the amount of 735 euros. Also found were two ecstasy pills and an ecstasy tablet, a small amount of crystalline substance believed to be MDMA methamphetamine, weighing about 0,5 grams, and other items.
The 21-year-old suspect was arrested by the members of YKAN for spontaneous offenses, while he was subsequently arrested with a court order, which was issued for the purpose of investigating the case.
The case is being investigated by the YKAN Ladder in Limassol.
