Eight puppies found in the dead zone were rescued on Monday by members of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP), who transported them to a dog shelter in Nicosia.
According to a post on the social network of the British detachment of UNFICYP, British Army peacekeepers working at the United Nations in Cyprus rescued eight puppies in the morning, which they found in the dead zone and handed over to the Nicosia Dog Shelter team.
"Not all heroes wear cloaks, some wear camouflage," the British quote said on Twitter.
The post was accompanied by a video showing a soldier rescuing a puppy standing on the edge of a river in the mud.
In another post, it is written below a photo of a soldier hugging one of the puppies, that this lucky puppy will soon be able to make someone's life "a little fuller!"
