A reliquary containing the bones of Agios Nikolaos was taken from the Monastery of Agia Moni, located between Panagia and Statou-Agiou Fotiou, by unknown persons.
According to the Press Spokesman of ADE Paphos and Head of TAE Paphos Michalis Nikolaou, the theft of a reliquary containing a bone of Saint Nicholas which was in the chapel of the Holy Monastery in Statos was reported at 17:00 on Thursday by a priest.
The reliquary, Mr. Nikolaou said, must have been stolen between March 28 and 30. The door of the church, he noted, was not locked, but was open for the faithful.
