A hunter while on a raid in an area of Paphos province, was injured in the morning, when under conditions under investigation he appears to have fired his weapon.
According to Paphos Assistant Police Director Michalis Ioannou, 66, while hunting in an area of the village of Tsada in a permitted hunting area, he allegedly lost his balance, as a result of which he fired his shotgun and injured his knee.
The 66-year-old boarded his vehicle and went alone to the Accident and Emergency Department of the Paphos General Hospital, where he remained for treatment in the operating room, after suffering a knee injury.
The injured person was visited at the Paphos General Hospital by members of the Paphos ADE and a testimony was received.
According to the hunter, the accident was due to the firing of his weapon and while he was hunting alone, when at some point he slipped.
